ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis FC announced the re-signing of Aedan Stanley and Jack Maher and signing of Seth Stiebel on Academy contracts for the 2018 USL season.

Stanley was the first Academy signing for Saint Louis FC during the 2016 season and made his debut against Oklahoma City Energy FC in his lone appearance that season.  He re-signed in 2017 and made 6 appearances with 527 minutes played during the 2017 season.  Stanley has also represented the U.S. Men’s National Team at U18 and U20 levels and was named to the 2017 Youth All-American team.  He has committed to Duke University in Fall 2018.

Maher signed with Saint Louis FC at the start of the 2017 season and made one appearance in the final game of the season against Bethlehem Steel FC.  He has also represented the U.S. Men’s National Team at U18 level and joined teammate Stanley on the 2017 Youth All-American team.  Maher has committed to Indiana University in Fall 2018.

Stiebel has played for the Saint Louis FC Academy U19 team and was the goalkeeper for the Academy U18 team against the U.S. Men’s National U17 Team in the friendly match at Toyota Stadium in October 2016.  During the penalty shoot-out, he found the top corner from his spot kick and then denied the next attempt from the USMNT U17 Team to claim the victory.

“We're delighted to welcome Aedan, Jack and Seth into the first-team squad,” said Anthony Pulis, STLFC Head Coach. “I've heard great things from the staff that have worked with them here in the Academy and the interactions I've had with them have been positive. A big 'well done' to all the Academy staff that have worked with these boys to help them reach this stage in their development. The real work starts now and it's down to them to make the most of it and grab the opportunity with both hands. They will train with us every day and will get opportunities in games if they deserve it. I think it is a great statement to all our STLFC & SLSG Academy players to show that if you work hard, show the right mentality and perform well consistently there is a pathway for you to the first-team squad.”
