St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC has announced the addition of forward Max Alvarez to the roster for the 2017 season.
Alvarez was born in Napa, California and played collegiately at Sacramento State University for all four years. He was voted to the Second Team Freshman All-America by “Soccer America” in 2009 having led the Mountain Pacific Soccer Federation (MPSF) in points accumulated with 23 that season. He also played for FC Tucson in the USL PDL during the 2012 season and led them to a playoff appearance.
Alvarez signed for Sacramento Republic FC in 2014 and has competed there for the past three seasons.
“Max is a technically gifted player who can help create chances on the attacking side of the ball,” said Jeremy Alumbaugh, STLFC Vice-President & General Manager. “He fits within our system and brings additional experience from playing in the league.”
