St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC has announced the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Appiah for the remainder of the 2017 season.
Appiah was born in Sampa, Ghana but moved to Ohio at an early age and went on to attend the University of Cincinnati from 2011-2015 where he played 65 games and scored seven goals during his collegiate career. He also played for GPS Portland Phoenix in the USL PDL during the 2013 season and made 10 appearances. Appiah was drafted 15th overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids and was subsequently loaned to the Charlotte Independence for two games before being signed by Sporting Kansas City. After starting in a 2-2 draw against FC Dallas in August 2016, he would spend the rest of the season on loan at Swope Park Rangers where he made eight regular season appearances and four appearances in the USL Playoffs.
