ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis FC announced the signing of goalkeeper Jake Fenlason, pending USL and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
Fenlason was born in San Diego, California and led his high school team to a No. 3 national ranking before attending the University of Akron. He amassed 49 appearances during his collegiate career and finished with 16 clean sheets, 0.98 goals against average and 79% save percentage. Fenlason signed with Orlando City B in February 2016 and made 10 appearances for the club with two clean sheets and a 70% save percentage.
“Jake is someone that I’ve worked with over the last two years and he has a fantastic attitude,” said Anthony Pulis, STLFC Head Coach. “He has a lot of potential and really adds some strength to our goalkeepers.”
“It’s an amazing opportunity to play for Saint Louis FC and in front of the fans,” said Fenlason. “I’m grateful for the chance to work with Anthony again, along with his staff, and I’m looking forward to joining a competitive group of players and start the season.”
